An aluminum alloy square cap transition strip occurs at the centerline of the door leaf, aligning the meeting edges of scheduled sheet resilient flooring and scheduled carpet or walk-off mat. The finish floor build-up assembly varies the sub build-up as necessary to achieve a flush transition across the flooring change.
