Flexible adhesive waterproofing extends directly into the window system assembly to maintain continuous moisture protection. A J-mold is installed at the edge with a 9/16 inch clearance dimension noted at the transition. Type 1 sealant is applied in the joint to seal the junction between the window frame and the adjacent building envelope components.
