Two 16-gauge cold-formed metal studs are secured at the door opening with two 20-gauge straps spaced at 24 inches on center, fastened using two number 10 sheet metal screws at each stud. An aluminum door frame with snap-on trim, specifically an S-series classic frame manufactured by Timely, attaches to the stud jamb assembly. The door connects to the frame according to the door schedule, and wall finishes are constructed per the designated wall type.
