A six-inch Portland cement concrete class A curb bears on a subgrade with a four-inch embedment depth and varies in overall height. Asphaltic concrete or concrete paving abuts the curb with a one-half-inch typical joint. The paving rests on a variable-depth base rock layer, which is supported by a lime treatment per the geotechnical report. Weepholes are required on all curbs and curb and gutters where landscaping slopes toward the curb, placed at ten feet on center or at each scoreline.
