Suspended ceiling hanger wire and splay wire are anchored to overhead joists or rafters sized per structural requirements. A one-quarter-inch by three-inch screw anchor with full thread embedment secures the hanger assembly, requiring a one-and-one-quarter-inch minimum embedment depth. A twelve-gauge galvanized splay wire is positioned at a forty-five degree angle with a ten-degree tolerance. The wire connection is finished with three tight wraps within one and one-half inches.
