Six-inch cold-formed metal stud framing provides the structural support for the partition, with stud spacing determined by structural drawings. Sound attenuation batt insulation fills the stud cavity for acoustic control. One-half-inch gypsum sheathing is installed on the exterior side of the framing. Five-eighths-inch gypsum board is applied to the interior face, receiving wall finishes specified in the finish schedule.
