A typical cold-formed steel stud of size and gauge as required seats into a bottom track of corresponding size and gauge. An end clip of matching size and gauge is fastened to the stud and track web. The track is anchored to the supporting concrete element using powder-actuated fasteners spaced sixteen inches on center along with additional fasteners as required.
