A six-inch diameter galvanized steel pipe is filled with concrete and finished with yellow paint unless noted otherwise. A low-density polyethylene thermoplastic sleeve cover with a dome top and one-quarter inch nominal wall thickness fits over the pipe. The assembly is supported by a concrete footing set into the subgrade below the asphalt concrete pavement, which slopes outward at one-quarter inch per foot minimum. Frost depth must be verified for the project site.
