An aluminum window system interfaces with a composite metal panel cladding system at a wall jamb condition. A continuous fluid applied air barrier and vapor retarder protect the backup construction, which includes R-19 batt insulation. The joint between the window frame and the metal panel cladding is sealed with elastomeric sealant and backer rod on both the interior and exterior sides.
