A transition junction occurs where a gypsum board wall or vertical soffit surface meets a suspended acoustic ceiling tile system. The acoustic ceiling tile grid terminates at the vertical gypsum board surface with an edge trim or molding, while the acoustic ceiling suspension wire hangs from the overhead structure above. The bottom elevation of the acoustic ceiling tile is coordinated per the reflected ceiling plan.
