A slotted track connects to a continuous steel plate positioned beneath the edge of a structural steel beam flange. S12 fasteners with stand-off washers secure the track to the plate at sixteen inches on center maximum at the slotted track attachment. Alternatively, the plate secures to the beam flange using type 'S' fasteners with stand-off washers at sixteen inches on center maximum or powder-driven fasteners at twenty-four inches on center. The partition framing connects to the slotted track using S12 fasteners with stand-off washers on each side.
