An interior ceiling header transition framed with metal studs and clad in Type X gypsum board, finished smooth with taped joints for paint. Acoustical ceiling tiles meet the vertical gypsum board surfaces on both sides, supported by wall angles. The vertical metal stud framing extends upward, and the underside of the header features a recessed gypsum board soffit panel.
