A header beam constructed from sixteen gauge deep leg track matches the joist size and features cut flanges with a bent web secured by three number ten sheet metal screws to the double joist. Ceiling joists fasten to the header beam with typical number ten sheet metal screws. The framed opening accommodates a maximum span of six feet five inches and a minimum of one foot six inches.
