The cold-formed steel stud connects to the overhead metal deck using a typical slip track sized and gauged as required. A continuous plate spans two ribs of the metal deck and fastens to the slip track with screws on each side of the stud. Additional screws secure the metal plate to each stud. The metal deck itself is provided by others.
