The concrete slab edge is finished with a one-half inch radius tooled edge and a medium broom finish. The thickened edge extends to a minimum depth of six inches, with a total slab depth of nine inches, and sits atop natural grade or aggregate base as specified by the soils report. The adjacent asphaltic concrete paving is placed over aggregate base, with all subgrade preparation and steel reinforcement requirements deferred to the civil drawings and soils report.
