This stair nosing detail features a metal edge plate fastened with three-eighths-inch carriage bolts to a wood stair construction. The assembly incorporates three-quarter-inch hardwood flooring over three-quarter-inch plywood and five-eighths-inch plywood blocking. An anti-slip tread edge protects the outer corner, configured with a typical one-eighth-inch radius bend. Equal spacing is designated for the vertical fastener layout along the face of the nosing plate.
