Single-ply roofing is installed over five-eighths-inch exterior roof nesting on a steel deck supported by light gauge metal framing. A two-percent minimum slope directs drainage toward the perimeter edge. The edge is capped with a PVC-clad metal flashing with a water stop, fastened at four inches on center staggered. A twenty-two-gauge continuous metal hook strip secures the fascia, backed by multi-purpose tape, three-coat Portland cement plaster, and two layers of five-eighths-inch exterior sheathing. The interior ceiling incorporates one layer of one-inch Type X gypsum sheathing.
