A concrete walk with a thickened edge bears on compacted soil over natural grade with expansion or control joints provided at twelve feet each way. The outer edge features a tooled one-half inch radius edge. Finish grade is set one inch at sod and one and one-half inches at ground cover. Below slab preparation is governed by the soils report, and structural thickness is sized per civil and structural plans.
