Suspended ceiling hanger wires and bracing wires attach to wood members and steel beams using quarter-inch diameter screw eyes with full thread embedment and one-and-a-quarter-inch minimum penetration. Wood framing consists of three-by-four, two-by-six, double two-by-four, or larger members. Screw eyes are installed in the direction of the wire pull and centered on the support member. Maximum load per hanger is limited to fifty pounds, with support wires installed vertically and no mechanical or electrical services supported directly from the rafter members.
