This interior detail establishes the transition between a gypsum board ceiling and an acoustical ceiling panel system. A shadow mold edge molding trim creates a recessed reveal at the junction between the two ceiling types. The acoustical ceiling panel is supported by a metal suspension system hung with wire hangers. The gypsum board ceiling is framed with a grid suspension system and wire hangers, terminating at the shadow molding. A dimensional point marks the elevation datum for the ceiling assembly.
