A new one-and-a-half-inch diameter wood handrail is mounted with brackets thirty-six inches above the finished floor on a new wood railing finished with paint. A new black rubber square head screw fastens through the wall finish into finish grade plywood over four-by-four framing. A wood tread and two-by-eight minimum riser beyond are supported by wood stringers with blocking and a Simpson Strong-Tie DTT2 connector or similar secured by a half-inch diameter bolt.
