An aluminum curtain wall horizontal member supports vision insulating glass units below and scheduled shadow box panels backed by mineral wool cavity insulation above. A continuous architectural channel and valence featuring a hinged top access cover integrates into the interior side of the framing. Inside this channel, a scheduled exterior light fixture connects to a contractor-provided junction box located at the end of the run. The assembly maintains a minimum inside dimension of 4 1/2 inches with a 3 1/2-inch vertical clearance and 4 1/4-inch horizontal dimension for the lighting fixture compartment.
