A steel pipe guardrail and handrail assembly at a main stair landing. A one-and-a-half-inch outside diameter steel pipe functions as the top railing at three feet six inches above the finish floor, while a separate one-and-a-half-inch outside diameter steel pipe serves as the handrail at three feet zero inches. The handrail attaches to the posts using a half-inch steel flat bar support. One-and-a-half-inch outside diameter steel pipes also serve as vertical posts, spaced to maintain openings less than four inches typical. The stair connects adjacent floor levels with a clear landing depth of one foot three inches.
