A twenty-four gauge prefinished metal cap covers the top of the parapet and laps over a continuous metal cleat fastened to the parapet backer. The waterproofing membrane is fully adhered to the parapet and laps over the metal cleat as shown. A light-gauge metal track with three-inch legs ties into the assembly at the top of the wall per structural drawings. Dens Deck Prime type X sheathing provides the exterior substrate, backed by vertical insulation extending to the metal coping. Sealant is applied typically on both sides at the metal cap interface.
