A fire-rated hollow metal frame anchors into boxed metal stud framing within a one-hour fire-rated partition. Batt insulation fills the stud cavity behind the gypsum board layers. Fire-rated sealant is applied to both sides at the interface between the metal frame and the wall finish. A fire-rated door is hung within the frame, suitable for openings up to eight feet wide.
