A hollow metal single rabbet frame is anchored to a non-structural metal framing one-hour rated partition separating the kitchen and circulation areas. The frame is painted to match the adjacent stone veneer and incorporates self-adhesive silicone silencers as needed. A two-and-a-half by two-and-a-half by one-quarter-inch stainless steel angle with a square edge is installed at the stone veneer base. A sixteen-gauge hollow metal door hangs from a door hinge secured within the assembly. Backer rod with sealant is provided at the transition between the frame and the stone veneer.
