A painted hollow metal door frame connects to double metal studs at the partition jamb using three anchors per jamb. The framing is finished on each side with five-eighths-inch gypsum board, with Type X gypsum board specified at rated partitions. Joint sealant is applied at the interface between the metal frame and the gypsum board finish.
