A six-inch wide, sixteen gauge metal plate spans a minimum of three studs to provide backing for accessories carrying a maximum point load weight of fifty pounds. The plate is fastened to three and five-eighths inch, eighteen gauge minimum metal studs using two number ten sheet metal screws at each stud. Double studs are provided at openings. Installation requires verifying length, height, quantities, and location with the accessory manufacturer, and using number ten by one and one-half inch Phillips pan head sheet metal screws for final accessory attachment.
