A single-ply TPO roof membrane extends up the parapet wall over a quarter-inch insulation cover board secured by plates and fasteners at twelve inches on center. A counterflashing is secured with stainless steel countersunk fasteners spaced twelve inches on center, with fastener heads sealed using caulk or neoprene/EPDM washers. A continuous bead of sealant is applied behind the flashing termination, and cut-edge sealant is applied at membrane seams sealed with hot air welds.
