A large pipe penetration passes through a membrane roof assembly consisting of a metal deck, sprayed fire-resistant material, roofing insulation, half-inch cover board, and PVC membrane roofing. A pre-molded TPO pipe flashing is hot air welded to the roofing membrane, secured with fasteners and seam plates. A stainless steel clamping ring is installed with sealant between the penetration and pipe flashing, topped with a continuous bead of sealant approved by the roofing manufacturer. A stainless steel hood protects the upper joint, and the penetrating pipe must be anchored to ensure stability.
