An extended mullion cap occurs where indicated on plans and elevations above the perimeter framing. The assembly features an aluminum column cover wrapping a structural steel column with applied fireproofing. Brackets and vertical fasteners secure the column cover halves together, creating a vertical sealant joint at the closure. The exterior envelope transitions into a corner mullion profile with continuous glazing lines.
