An exterior wall opening assembly finished with three-coat stucco over a vapor retarder and half-inch sheathing meets a framed window head. The vapor retarder wraps continuously to the back of the opening. The interior jamb is lined with five-eighths-inch gypsum wallboard. A sealant bead, backer rod, and shim are installed at the window frame perimeter for weatherproofing.
