This interior wall transition detail connects a tiled wet-area finish to a painted gypsum board finish over a standard stud wall. The lower portion consists of a tile backer board per specifications finished with wall tile and grout, meeting a designated metal trim piece labeled MT2. Above the metal trim, the upper wall assembly comprises five-eighths-inch painted gypsum board. Both wall finishes are supported by framing per wall types.
