A 1 1/2-inch diameter standard galvanized steel pipe railing is mounted at the edge of galvanized metal grating supported by structural steel beams. A galvanized steel kickplate sits at the base of the railing above the grating floor. The overall railing height is 3 feet 6 inches with equal spacing between rails, extending four inches above the grating surface. The structural steel beams and metal grating are coordinated per structural sheet S-170 and the architectural plans.
