The reinforced membrane is adhered to the substrate using bonding adhesive. A metal termination bar clamps the top edge of the membrane and is secured to the substrate with mechanical fasteners. Cut-off mastic is applied behind the upper edge of the termination bar, and a bead of sealant seals the joint along the top edge.
