The stair stringer connects to the landing header channel using a continuous one-quarter-inch by four-inch flat bar spanning between stringers. The connection utilizes two five-eighths-inch by one-and-a-half-inch ASTM A325 tension-control bolts positioned within four inches of each stringer. A three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld with a three-inch spacing secures the flat bar to the stringer. The leading edge of the stair nosing aligns with the vertical face of the landing construction.
