Two adjacent concrete tilt-up wall panels meet at a one-half-inch typical vertical joint extending from the footing to the top of the panel. A backer rod is installed at each face of the wall within the joint. Continuous sealant is applied over the backer rod at both the exterior and interior faces to seal the gap between panels.
