A concrete bio-retention box and curb-cut inlet assembly utilizes an 8-inch concrete wall reinforced with number 5 bars at 12 inches on center each way. Inside is a 24-inch depth of bioretention media composed of 60 to 70 percent sand, 15 to 25 percent compost, and 10 to 20 percent topsoil. The wall sits on a 6-inch wide by 12-inch tall concrete brace spaced at a maximum of 6 feet, reinforced with two number 4 top bars and two number 5 bottom bars. The assembly rests on a 12-inch layer of washed, open-graded crushed Class 2 base wrapped in non-woven geotextile. An integral curb and gutter with a curb cut inlet is tied into the top of the concrete wall.
