A floor finish transition occurs at a door threshold. A rubber carpet edge strip is installed at the base of the door to bridge the gap between the carpet floor finish and the scheduled epoxy flooring. Both floor finishes are applied directly over the concrete slab, with the specific finish types determined by the project finish schedule.
