This trench section details the underground installation of carrier pipes enclosed in a high-density polyethylene jacket within undisturbed earth. The assembly includes a six-inch minimum sand bed at the bottom of the trench, a six-inch layer of sand over the top of the jacket, and a minimum twenty-four-inch depth of select backfill up to grade. Carrier pipes maintain a six-inch minimum clearance and are coordinated with building footings and other subterranean utilities. Excavation and burial details must be coordinated with civil and structural engineering prior to installation.
