The roof exhaust curb assembly features cold-formed metal stud framing insulated with closed-cell spray foam and faced with half-inch DensDeck Prime on both sides. A continuous vapor retarder extends beneath the roof assembly and seals to the penetration. The exterior is wrapped in an EPDM roofing membrane, with flashing sealed to the membrane per the manufacturer's recommendations. A pressure-treated 2x wood plate caps the curb, finished with a mechanical curb cap and butyl sealant. An insulated duct runs through the interior opening with an air gap.
