A pipe penetrates through a cold-formed steel stud framing assembly finished with five-eighths inch exterior gypsum sheathing. A fluid-applied air and water barrier is applied over the exterior sheathing, followed by adhered continuous expanded polystyrene insulation. The exterior finish system includes an adhesive base coat, wrapped reinforcing mesh at the penetration edge, and a final finish coat. The annular space around the pipe penetration is sealed with a backing rod and joint sealant.
