A two and a half inch solid oak landing rests upon a structural steel channel support, anchored by one-half inch diameter by one inch steel dowels spaced twelve inches on center that slot into the landing and are affixed with epoxy adhesive. The steel framing connects to a structural beam via a coped connection with bolted plates per structural drawings. At the slab edge, an angle iron provides edge support adjacent to a joint filled with sealant.
