Carpet transitions to polished and sealed concrete at the centerline of a door using a transition strip. The transition strip features a beveled edge at a one-to-two slope and maintains a maximum height of one-quarter inch. The concrete slab finish steps down three-eighths of an inch to accommodate the flooring materials.
