A rated metal stud partition extends past a suspended lay-in ceiling, anchored at the top to a cold box with a 1-inch by 2-inch by 12-gauge steel strap. A 12-gauge vertical hanger wire with 4 tight turns supports the ceiling grid system 1 1/2 inches below the structure. Batt insulation fills the partition cavity per the architectural partition schedule. The suspended lay-in ceiling coordinates with the reflected ceiling plan.
