A cold-formed metal stud partition terminates against a concrete panel, finished with five-eighths inch gypsum board on both sides. The exterior side of the panel joint is sealed with caulking and backer rod. The gypsum board aligns with the edge of the concrete panel or the corner of the panel chamfer when provided. Typical caulking is applied at the interior joint between the gypsum board and the concrete surface. Metal studs are sized per the schedule on detail fifteen and structural drawings.
