A structural steel column connects to a cap plate via a sleeve and pin assembly. The sleeve is attached to the cap plate with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds and secured to the column web with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds. A pin engages the sleeve and is detailed per sheet specifications.
