This interior partition detail shows 3 5/8-inch cold-formed metal stud framing spaced per structural drawings. The stud cavity is filled with sound attenuation batt insulation for acoustic control. A 1/2-inch backer board is fastened to the framing to receive the final wall finish specified in the finish schedule.
