The assembly features cold-formed metal stud framing filled with batt insulation and faced with 5/8 inch Type X gypsum wallboard on the interior. On the exterior side of the studs, a weather-resistive barrier covers the sheathing, followed by rigid insulation and an exterior brick masonry veneer connected via a mechanical veneer tie.
