A non-slotted cold-formed steel head track is attached beneath a concrete deck where the deck flutes run parallel to the partition alignment. A three-inch wide by three-sixteenth-inch thick steel plate spans over three flutes at twelve inches on center and is secured to the concrete deck with three pairs of number twelve sheet metal screws. The deck flutes are filled with four pounds per cubic foot mineral wool insulation.
